Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American producer, actress and director. Her most well-known character is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and with English origin. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish and has claimed that she attends in Passover seders.
